Lilac, a police agent, was looking for vanished models who were traveling across the country for photo and film-shoot engagements.
Today she had kind of lost her way and was stranded in a worn down motel on the outskirts. Besides the motel there only seemed to be an equally worn down wax museum that seemed a little creepy. she decided to stay the night anyway, since the motel owner seemed to be a nice woman.?What she didn't know was, that the wax museum didn't contain dolls, but real people being made up as dolls, stuffed and stiff as boards. The museum's owner was the motel woman's stepfather and his stepdaughter had to prepare the dolls for the museum by freezing up her customers.
Scene 1
The 2 of them were chatting away, while the motel owner showed her new guest the rooms.
“So, you’re also involved in that creepy wax museum next door? Interesting. I will have a look tomorrow. By the way, could you make me a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. I always need that when I get up. I guess I'm gonna lie down since it's been a long day .”
“Sure, I get you some. And tomorrow I'm gonna show you round the wax museum.”
"Well, great. Hope you got some dolls with funny poses and goofy expressions."
Lilac was in a good mood and threw some poses with goofy facial expressions for fun.
Scene 2
The motel owner was on the phone with her stepfather. "Hi stepdad. Yes, everything's in order. I took care of that police agent. She was a bit of a smart ass, but is much better now. Shen was born to be a wax doll after all. Such great additions to our museum.”
With these words she opened a door and there was Lilac, sitting at the table like a shop mannequin with a stupid expression, mouth hanging open, holding a cup with both of her hands, an eye mask still on the top of her head. The motel owner took the cup out of her hands, stood her up, patted her on the cheeks and knocked on her forehead ("Anybody home?"). Then she dragged the stiff girl into the room, her feet scratching across the floor.
"Thanks a lot. The coffee didn't wake you up, but made you into a little stiffy, I guess. Now we should have all the time in the world for preparing you for the museum. We’ll see what kind of funny faces you’ll be able to make for me.
